Spare Part International Market, Kuje Road Gwagwalada.

About The Project

On January 28th, 2016, the Gwagwalada Area Council and the Federal Capital Territory Administration awarded Del-Trazi Limited the contract to design and develop the Building Material Market along Kuje Road in Gwagwalada under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) agreement. The proposed market, situated on 2.6 hectares of land, will feature lockup shops, administrative offices, and a Police and Fire service block. This project is poised to significantly enhance the local infrastructure and economy.

Project Key Benefits

  1. Economic Boost: The Building Material Market will invigorate the local economy by centralizing the sale of construction materials, thereby attracting businesses and consumers to the area and fostering economic activity.
  2. Job Creation: The development and operation of the market will create numerous job opportunities, both during the construction phase and in the long-term operations of the market, aiding in reducing unemployment and enhancing local livelihoods.
  3. Improved Public Services: The integration of a Police and Fire service block will enhance public safety and emergency response capabilities, ensuring a secure and protected environment for both vendors and customers.
  4. Enhanced Infrastructure: The project will significantly improve local infrastructure by providing modern, well-organized facilities that cater specifically to the building material industry. This includes the construction of lockup shops and administrative offices.
  5. Community Development: By creating a dedicated hub for the building material industry, the market will serve as a focal point for community interaction and business networking, fostering a stronger sense of community and cooperation among local businesses.
  6. Convenience and Accessibility: The market will provide a one-stop destination for all building material needs, making it convenient for customers to access a variety of products and services in one location, thereby improving the overall shopping experience.
  7. Revenue Generation: The market will contribute to the internally generated revenue of the Gwagwalada Area Council through taxes and fees, which can be utilized for further community development initiatives and public services.
